I was sitting down to dinner at a restaurant when I gazed out the window and saw a dramatic sunset occurring. The colors continued to deepen for another 10 minutes so I got up and kept taking photos with my phone. When I returned to the table my food was cold, but I didn't mind. Seeing another of Mother Nature's light shows was well worth it. I intend to do a larger painting based on this study to more fully explore its depth of color.
